ABOUT

Zero to Go - transforming waste into community.

I organize electronics collection events, bring awareness to local resources for reuse and recycling, and help reduce waste generated by businesses and individuals.

Press: Poughkeepsie Journal, 10/20/11

Diverting & Reducing Waste:
  • A&W Scrap, Wappinger Falls. Assisting with recycling mixed plastic scrap from wire.
  • American Felt and Filter Co, New Windsor. Surplus felt distributed to designers to produce goods.
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Center, Beacon. The organization dissolved, and I helped with the redistribution of furniture, books and other items to agencies and individuals.
  • Private individuals. Responsibly Freecycling and recycling items that are no longer wanted.
  • Electronics Recycling. Over 25 tons of e-waste collected and recycled in Beacon in 2011.
  • Tri-County Crisis Center, Beacon. Working with the community of Beacon, cellphones are collected for the Tri-County Crisis Center to be donated to local victims of domestic violence. During the October electronics collection day, 47 phones were collected for TCCC.
